David Rosenberg

David is the CEO of Aspire and a Venture Partner at Tau Capital. He has been involved with Aspire, the leader in cricket production, since 2016 and became CEO in 2023. At Tau Capital, a leading Abu Dhabi-based venture firm, he focuses on deal sourcing, structuring, and mentoring CEOs. He has also played key roles in building Every as Board Lead and founded Inspired Growing, which brings hyper-local farms to schools.
A serial entrepreneur, David founded AeroFarms, Inspired Growing, and Hycrete. He led AeroFarms, a certified B Corporation and award-winning vertical farming company, from 2011 to 2023. AeroFarms has received numerous accolades, including Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies and Time Magazine’s Best Inventions. Prior to that, he founded Hycrete, a nanotechnology company he led from 2002 to 2010.
David has been actively engaged in global leadership. As a World Economic Forum member, he co-founded the Young Global Leaders Circular Economy Taskforce and contributed to initiatives on IoT, water security, and agriculture. He has advised the G20 on Resource Efficiency, served as a Managing Trustee at Liberty Science Center, and mentored entrepreneurs at Endeavor. He was also an adjunct professor at NYU’s Stern School of Business and co-chaired New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy’s Agriculture Transition Committee.
Recognized for his impact, David has received honors including EY Entrepreneur of the Year (Food & Beverage), 3BL Media Responsible CEO of the Year, and World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer. He was named one of Goldman Sachs’ 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs and Liberty Science Center’s 2019 Genius Innovator.
David holds a BA from UNC Chapel Hill and an MBA from Columbia University. A former competitive fencer, he represented the U.S. internationally, winning three U.S. National Team Championships and two individual silver medals.
